The Update
CIHI has released new edit specifications effective for MDS records completed with a target date later than April 1, 2007. Some of the regulatory changes are as follows:
As of June 11, CIHI has launched eManagement Reports. This new, web-based tool will offer clients a snapshot of their data submissions to six of CIHI’s data holdings (Discharge Abstract Database (DAD), National Ambulatory Care Reporting System (NACRS), National Rehabilitation Reporting System (NRS), Ontario Mental Health Reporting System (OMHRS), Home Care Reporting System (HCRS), and the Continuing Care Reporting System (CCRS)).
Once available, eManagement Reports will allow authorized users to:
- Regularly monitor the status of their data submissions to CIHI from one period to the next and across CIHI data holdings; and
- Access summary information on their submissions—such as volumes of records submitted, error rates and timeliness—as required for all applicable clinical databases.
