Updates to RUG-III Case Mix Index (CMI) 2008 values for Ontario Chronic Care facilities
The Update
The new CMI values for Ontario Chronic Care facilities are now available.
The process of developing new CMI values involves review of the latest patient day, wage rate and staff time data available over the past year. Along with the Resource Utilization Groups III (RUG-III) Grouping Methodology, continuing care residents are subsequently found to qualify for one of the 44 resource utilization groups.
What Momentum is Doing
A change request to include the updated CMI values for the MDS 2.0 Canada application has been documented as CHR00008280 and will be included as part of our general release in June 2008.
