Order Entry
The Order Entry module is a fast, efficient method for caregivers to order procedures, consultations and other activities from any service, department or agency in the healthcare enterprise. It immediately communicates orders and requests to the designated entity. Order Entry allows any caregiver to access the status of an order or consultation from the time the request is made until it is completed. All routine documentation associated with the order, together with any special notes, automatically becomes part of the patient’s electronic record and is associated with a specific registration. When implemented in conjunction with the Resource Scheduling module, orders and requests can be scheduled with a few keystrokes. The scheduler identifies all of the human resources needed to fill the order, together with any equipment or special room(s) needed. Scheduling conflicts are immediately identified. The workload measurements associated with completing the order are automatically calculated and credited to the caregiver.

- View the patient’s complete order history for previous encounters and registrations.
