The Partnership provides a forum to learn about, influence and build consensus on national standards for health information. The goal of the Partnership is to leverage current provincial, national and international activities in order to contribute to the adoption and tailoring of existing standards for the Canadian health system.
The Partnership began in 1996 and has a strong base of members who are committed to advancing the national agenda in health information standards. Nearly 100 member organizations, with more than 300 representatives, participate in this initiative, with CIHI fulfilling the secretariat function.
