New Quality Measures to be Reported
October 2006
The Update
The
Nursing Home Compare website
has been updated to indicate that the following new Quality Measures will be reported:
Percentage of Long-Stay Residents Given Influenza Vaccination During the Flu Season
Percentage of Long-Stay Residents Who Were Assessed and Given Pneumococcal Vaccination
Percentage of Short-Stay Residents Given Influenza Vaccination During the Flu Season
Percentage of Short-Stay Residents Who Were Assessed and Given Pneumococcal Vaccination
Technical information about the calculation of these indicators was released by the NHQI in October 2006 and this information should be posted on CMS websites in the near future.
What Momentum is Doing
A change request (CHR00004896) has been documented for the updated Quality Measures and will be considered for inclusion in the next planned MDS release.
