CMS Update

The Update
CMS has released updates to the MDS 2.0 RAI User Manual. These updates shall become effective on March 1, 2007. The manual updates can be downloaded from here.
Currently CMS contractors are developing an assessment tool that can be used across all sectors of the PAC market (including skilled nursing facilities). This tool shall be used in a demonstration project starting in January 2008.
What Momentum is Doing
The updated manual shall be included in the next release of the MDS application. This change is documented as part of change request, CHR00003950. If organizations desire to have access to this information from within the MDS application prior to release, the information can be downloaded and hyperlinked to the application.
