Updates to ICD-9-CM List posted

The Update
The list of new, invalid and revised ICD-9-CM codes has been posted to the CMS website for review. The updated codes will be implemented on October 1, 2008 here.
What Momentum is Doing?
The downloadable file that is used for importing into Care Management and MDS is available from this location (This year’s version is Version 26).
- The list will be available in Version 6.7 of the MDS application as a supplemental file for ease of importing the file to the application on October 1, 2008. Version 6.7 will be made available in early fall for specific client sites.
- The updated list will be included as the default ICD-9-CM list in Version 6.8 of the MDS application. This version will be made available to client sites in early 2009.
- Client sites can download the file and update their Care Management and MDS databases independently by following the instructions available in on line help.
- Clients may also contact the Momentum Healthware Support department to arrange for technical assistance importing the lists.
