Updated MDS 3.0 Timeline

The Update
CMS has posted an update to the MDS3.0 timeline document on their website. The document may be downloaded from this location.
The timeline for implementation has not been modified in this document – it is still scheduled for October 1, 2009. However, the timeline has been updated to reflect the delayed release for material that was to be delivered in Spring 2008 – the dates for this information to be released is now July 25, 2008.
Additionally, CMS is providing more information in this timeline related to proposed educational sessions related to the MDS 3.0 instrument.
What Momentum is Doing?
As noted in prior bulletins, Momentum Healthware is planning for the implementation of MDS 3.0 and has been awaiting the release of the specifications from CMS in order to move into active development of the updated tool. Once the information is released at the end of July, our development department will be able to move forward on this exciting project.
