The Update
CMS has published the final rule which will have an impact on Skilled Nursing Facilities that are participating in the Medicare Program. The final rule is available by following the link available from
this website
It is significant to note that the final rule does not include the modifications to the case mix system that had been included in the proposed rule. The proposed market basket increase has remained at 3.4% in the final rule.
What Momentum is Doing?
In reviewing the final rule, there will be no changes required for the MDS application as a result of this rule.
