MDS 3.0 Crosswalk Posted

The Update
Further to the August SNF Open Door Forum, CMS has updated the MDS3.0 website to provide the crosswalk between the proposed MDS 3.0 items and the existing MDS 2.0 items. They have also posted a document outlining the dropped items from the MDS 2.0. Both of these documents are located on the CMS website in this

The next document to be published by CMS related to the MDS3.0 is the draft data specifications. This document is scheduled to be released by CMS on October 1, 2008.
What Momentum is Doing?
Momentum Healthware has an active project for the development of the MDS 3.0 tool. The information that has been made available by CMS is being used for initial analysis and design by the development team.
