Updated MDS 3.0 Timeline Posted

The Update
CMS has posted an update to the MDS3.0 timeline.
CMS is now targeting to publish final MDS 3.0 Data Specifications (including RUGs, RAP triggers and QM/QIs) on October 2009. National data collection using MDS 3.0 is scheduled for implementation on October 1, 2010.

What Momentum is Doing?
As noted in prior bulletins, Momentum Healthware is planning for the implementation of MDS 3.0 and has been awaiting the release of the final specifications from CMS in order to move into active development of the updated tool. Once the information is released in October 2009, our development department will be able to move forward on this exciting project.
